Workin' it...

Here's my son, barely one year old, hitting on the ladies at Little Gym. They didn't seem to like it... but someday they won't be able to resist those clear blue eyes and soft kisses ;)

Little Gym Graduation

Madee is all grown up now and had her final day at the Little Gym. She will be going to preschool in the fall so she won't be going back again. On Thursday, she had her 'show day' and here are a few of the highlights. Sorry it's not the best quality angles, etc... I only have 2 arms and was running a video camera, still camera and trying to hold onto Jack at the same time.
It's about 2 1/2 minutes - don't feel like you have to watch the whole thing - this video is special for her Daddy who couldn't be there!

Future Olympian?

I would have never dared do this when I was 3 years old... GO MADEE! She did it several times, but these are the ones we caught on camera. (the first time with daddy... then all by herself!)

Jack's 1st Birthday Bash!

We celebrated JAckson's 1st birthday with the Marsings and Kennedys at Keith and Jodee's house (thank you, Nana & Papa!). I always wished I could have a pool party for my birthday, but alas I was born in January. So I will just live vicariously through my son :)

We had a yummy bbq and swimming... and Jack loved his cake! He was a good boy and shared with his sister and it soon turned into a family affair!

Great birthday=Wheeler Farm & a movie

On Jackson's actual birthday, we spent lunch at Wheeler Farm and had a great time with our friends. Madee LOVED being with the boys... and Jack loved watching what he will soon be able to do. Run run run! (thank you, Heather, for your great photos! I want a camera like yours!)

After a day at the park, the kids took a nice nap (phew!) and then I took them to see "UP". What a darling movie!!! I was so grateful that Leesa and Kings were there because they sat with Madee while I walked and walked and walked with Jackson. He seemed to like the movie... but in small doses. Darn... I hoped he would be like his sister and be able to sit through an entire movie! Maybe when he's a little older ;) (thank you, Kings and Leesa, for the great color page, puzzle and cars!)

I can't believe you are one year old. I never tire of your amazing kisses and snuggles... and, of course, how you dance to every little bit of music you hear!!!
Thanks for the amazing past year... I look forward to many more with you as our son!

Our little singing sensation

Move over Beyonce... Madee wants the spotlight!
She has turned into our own little singing sensation and continues to surprise me with new songs she has learned, that I have never heard of!
Two of her favorites right now are about a shark and bunny.

"We are Vikings!"

The other day I was busy working on something in our office and I could hear Madee stomping around the kitchen and chanting, "We are Vikings! We are Vikings!"

I walked in to see this:



She had painted herself and Jackson with blue paint. She had similar markings on each of their faces, arms, hands and feet. I wish the picture showed it better... but this camera wasn't very clear! It was HILARIOUS! And I didn't care that there was paint everywhere because it was the cutest thing to see Madee so proud of herself and Jackson LAUGHING at her like she was the funniest girl in the world :)

Boondocks

Well, we wanted to take advantage of the semi-warm Saturday!!! We took the kids and met Matt's mom at Boondocks! We had so much more fun than we even dared hope for.

Madee loved the bumper boats... but her favorite was the race car ride! She told Matt and Jodee to go faster, faster! She was BARELY tall enough, and probably the toughest out there. I was a little nervous at first when Matt was in the lead of EVERYONE with my baby in the passenger seat. But then I remembered, she's tougher than I am :)

We WILL be visiting Boondocks again... good times!

I wish I were a fish!

I know if Madelyn could choose anything, other than a girl, she would want to be a fish!

We went with some friends to the Living Planet Aquarium on Friday and it was a great time. Madee has been before, but it's been awhile. This was Jackson's first time! (and, yes, I took him to a public place in his pajamas. It was one of those days :) )

Happy Easter!!!

I always love Easter!
I love the flowers, the sunshine (even though this year was cold), the family gatherings, the candy, but I am also so grateful for the time to reflect on our Savior and all He has done for us.

We were able to spend time with both of our families... for various reasons this month and we sure loved it!

Then our darling neighbor had an AWESOME party for us to decorate our eggs... and the kids all won awards for theirs. Madee got the "Most Sticker Egg" and Jackson got the "Most Slobbery Egg". Fun stuff! Here are our kids with their awards and eggs!


Madee was spoiled with many Easter egg hunts. Here's a few pics of two of them. I couldn't put the slideshow on this post, for some reason, so you will see it below.

Growing Up!!!

Our kiddos are growing up!
Madelyn LOVES being outside (when it's not snowing IN APRIL!)... and it looks like her brother will be just like her.

In this picture, Jackson is riding Daddy's old bike (with our help) and just kicks and kicks his legs! So cute :)

And inside the house... Jackson wants to be just like Madee. This picture shows when she's having her cereal, I have to put a pile of cheerios on the table for him. He can't sit on a chair like her yet, but he can stand just fine!


(and forgive the topless 3 year old... Madee is going through a serious phase of hating clothes!!! It's a real challenge)

Family Night at the Kennedys

Our house is definitely unbreakable... and it's a good thing because we like to keep things a little crazy :)

Last week we had some fun with Madee and tested her daredevil skills... check her out!

This is me... best air I got all night. Sad thing is that I really tried. LOL

Is he too old to try out for the NBA or Harlem Globetrotters??? Or the U of U cheer squad?!

Oh my gosh. This was a FUN night!

Jackson 9 months old

Actually, this week he is turning 10 months old... so I am a little late!

Our charmer, Jackson Craig, had his 9 month check up last week and weighed in at 21 lbs 8 oz! He's 28 1/4 inches tall. It was funny when the doc walked in and said, so is he about 15/18 lbs? I told him what the nurse weighed him in at and his mouth dropped. But, of course, he says he's perfect :)

Poor baby is very sick now, though. He has 2 ear infections, a sore throat, and a terrible wheezing cough. Not to mention, that yesterday a top tooth broke through the skin!!! Wowzers.

Poor Madee was sick too with an ear infection, but she is doing much better!

These kids are loads of fun!

It's a wonderful life!

Well, it's really been awhile since I've posted... I say that much too often. It's been a great 3 months! I've been working weekday mornings for the past 5 1/2 months... and next week is my last. So maybe I'll be better at this blog thing!

Christmas was amazing! The kids were so good. Madelyn loved her new kitchen and Jackson loved the wrapping paper!

In January, Madelyn turned 3 years old! I can't believe our baby girl is growing up so fast! We decided to celebrate in the happiest place on earth! We drove to Cali and made a pitstop in Las Vegas. California Adventure and Disneyland were completely magical. Sounds cheesy, I know, but it truly was! The kids were PERFECT the entire drive and vacation. We couldn't have asked for anything more. One of the most memorable moments was when Madelyn saw her FAVORITE Goofy :) Here's the video:

Next week, Jackson will be NINE MONTHS OLD!!! He has added so much love and joy to our home that we can hardly believe it. He's rolling all over the place, can stand holding onto things and can even scoot around on his feet around his little activity table. He's not crawling yet, but chances are, he'll figure out walking is much easier and skip crawling all together. His bright blue eyes are still so blue and melt my heart every time he looks at me!

Now that my babies are growing so fast, I can hardly wait to try for another! Don't worry... not quite yet, but the time can't come soon enough for me (or Matt)!!!
